Information on Human Rights Issues in ASM sector
The Human Rights Journalists Club meeting was held on February 06, 2018 at the National Human Rights Commission. At the meeting, Mr.J.Byambadorj, Head of the NHRC presented the topic "Human Rights Issues and the Press", on the topic of "International Human Rights Treaty" by the Head of the Human Rights Education and Research Division of the NHRC, G.Agar-Erdene, “Human Rights in ASM Sector" by ASM National Federation training specialist R.Tumendemberel and by S.Davaakhuu, artisanal miner of Gurvantes Soum of Umnugobi Aimag.
There have been been regular monthly training and information meetings on Human rights and there are about 20 media organizations registered in the Human Rights Journalists Club. During this meeting, 11 Club members participated and formed the Club Board with 9 people, this was based on a majority vote. The Club Board is set to work in the future to activate club activities, influence media regulation, represent the club, and build lobby groups on specific human rights issues. The Board of Human Rights Journalists Club will be elected for one year.
